I learned about “word of mouth marketing” from Seth Godin!

When I think of “word of mouth” marketing or viral marketing as it’s also known, I think of Seth Godin (www.SethGodin.com). It’s been several years since I have read my first Godin book, “The Idea Virus”. Then shortly after “Permission Marketing” and “The Purple Cow”. I can confidently say uPlej would not have been conceived if we had not used the concepts outlined in those books.
In addition to his great marketing concepts, Seth is remarkable because he actually responds to his personal email. This may not sound like much, but Seth has the 400th most visited site on the web, which is www.Squidoo.com, is a published best selling author, speaker and Internet entrepreneur and still has time to respond to his followers. I have taken a page from him and do the same thing. It’s amazing who you will meet if you are accessible enough.
The bottom line is this: more money and awareness will be generated for public non-profit organizations in the U.S. and globally because of Seth’s influence on uPlej.
Thanks Seth. We owe you!
