Dessert First

This evening I was thrown for a loop when our uPlej dinner guest Robert Smith, manager of Andy Andrews (http://www.AndyAndrews.com) asked if he could have dessert FIRST at our local Olive Garden.
I didn’t quite know what to say and the rest of the party was just as confused as I was. We sat there for a minute wondering what to do. Then Robert said, “your parents are not here to say no”! That was all we needed to hear and we put the dessert first. Good move Robert!
How can I relate this to life? I’m not sure, question is how can you, should you or does it really matter?
Here’s a random thought, why not put the “last”, first. After all aren’t the things we pay attention to last the things we care about the most? Maybe it’s your wife, your husband, friends, family, work, play, faith, forgiveness, charity, sleep, exercise or even just dessert!
Try your “dessert” first. Your parents might be happy you did!

AMEN brother! As Helen Keller once said, “Life is short and unpredictable; eat the desert first!”
